Personal – Kravice waterfall
You’re looking at the picture of Kravice waterfall. It’s located southeast of Ljubuški and it’s the most impressive waterfall in the whole country. Also one of the largest, it’s stretching over 120 meters across and tumbling down 25 meters. It is hot spot for people in Bosnia and Herzegovina for swimming because the waterfall dug a pool in it’s base. If you’d like to go to watch it and enjoy the nature then you should definitely go in early springtime, maybe may/june because at the time the waterfall is at fullest and the landscape is green, beautiful ambient. Whereas should you like to swim then my personal suggestion is to do so on the end of the summer or even early fall (falls here are very, very warm) because at that time water is least cold. It’s a really great place for picnics and if you’re friends with some local who is in possession of land, you also may have riverside barbecues. Nearby, there is one huge grass field, ideal for games and hangouts during the day and crazy parties during the nights. If you ever visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, this place is must-see!
